A town on an inland canal of the sea, built entirely on boardwalks with steps and other walkways connecting the various levels of houses, shops, public pavilions, schools, and kid’s playgrounds. Upon arrival at Caleta Tortel, cars and trucks (and campers) park at the top and enter on foot.

down the steps to the lowest boardwalk
Pavilions every so often
Zoom to see good view of boardwalk
wood carving of Tehuelches in pirogue
Tehuelche woman weaving. The carvings are along the main lower walkway.
Up or down?
A public beach and park at the end. Walkways extend for many kilometers.
