These beaches on the Golfo de Taranto must be popular in summer. Pretty deserted on a brisk, cloudy day in November, but they’re still beautiful. Of course the best reason I have for coming here in the off-season is that there are not hordes of tourists, I have the run of the place, and don’t have to plan way ahead. Oh, and it’s not 100°

Having a rental car allows me to poke around at my leisure.
