Volcán Osorno looms even larger on
the east side of the lake.
We stopped for lunch at the Petrohue Lodge, which is at the end of the road in Chile, but you can catch a boat nearby for the lake crossing to Bariloche Argentina. We lunched here on our 2001 trip too!

Conaf (Chile’s excellent forest and national park service) built a nice walkway and overlook on the rapids of the Petrohue River.
