Napoli


Spaccanapoli is the straight and narrow main street that traverses the old, historic center of Naples. Very popular for shoppers….it was packed!
For some reason my mind has had this image of an attractive Italian woman casually perched on a scooter in the middle of the sidewalk (an image from Hollywood?).
Ergo, there she was!
The historic center of Naples goes back thousands of years.
Orange trees are ripening all over southern Italy…even on the streets of Napoli.
Although it was mostly overcast during my time in Napoli, Vesuvius is always lurking. Look closely and you can make it out across the Bay of Naples.
