Sendero Caverna Volcánica

Volcanic Cavern Trail
Heading down.
The trail starts out underground.
Trekking through a split in the Earth, heading down.
Trees next to bottom of an escarpment.
It took us to this impressive view
of Rio Fuy gorge.

About halfway back up the trail, we ran into 30 kids and their guides, each with a kayak on their head descending down the trail to the river. They were from a whitewater kayaking school in White Salmon WA (on the Columbia R) and
they go kayaking in remote areas all
over the world. We stood by the side
of the trail to let the procession go by.
