After leaving Yellowstone I overnighted in a rustic log cabin at Big Bear Lodge outside Cooke City Montana, getting up this morning to drive the iconic Beartooth Highway which is a section of U.S. 212 that stretches from Yellowstone Park northeast to Red Lodge, Montana Morning coffee enjoyed at a scenic overlookClimbing to an elevation of 10,947 feet at Beartooth Pass, it features dramatic switchbacks, alpine tundra, and glacial lakes. It is typically open seasonally from late May through mid-October.Hmm. They certainly have the alpine equipment. Impressive!Lunch at 10,000+ feet. Loving it!Down below, I was able to enjoy a streamside stop for some time with Mr. Natural.
