
Gorgeous lakes, big mountains.
Tronador occupies a special place in my Chilean volcano cosmos. I have always been in awe of this extinct volcano, and have glimpsed it from afar
several times in both Chile and Argentina
for almost 50 years. I love the name (means Thunderer) and I love the glacial silhouette.
But this is the first time I will be as
close as I will be today.
